I fell in love with the net and all the compuiter teahcnology in the very early years and have loved it ever since, I have an IT Degree and Communications degree and will be working on my doctorate for the next five years, in bwetween I design websites, databases, Multimedia Produxction or anything that wil make me a penny, just student scraping by. But Guess what? I don't want your money, your e-mail, or anything. Each of these sites has a specific topic but they have them style and layout sothey are easy to navigate and ther a search function should take you to exactly where youwant to, or just explore, they have outside service you can acccess as well. Each site has 10,000 plus articles and they are updated everyday so you know you are gettin up to date information. ENough, here the computer and tech related sites.

well i haven't seen anyone implementing it in X3D, but if it was, its
obviously just GL_EXT_fog_coord, so any game using this opengl
extension would show you what it looked like.
as an example, you could just work though the spec. definition, but if
you cant view it, whats
the point?
BTW i notice that the primitives (cube, cylinder etc.) dont have the

are you referring to the typo in the spec showing minus infinity?
anyway the OP was about FogCoordinate, which im saying needs LocalFog
to get the best out of it.

This is from the old NIST example set and shows how the fog effect affects the
color of the object.
As the shape moves into the fog it becomes more red, in this case,

seems to me that FogCoordinate applies to geometry (its a
X3DGeometricPropertyNode), to explicitly specify fog color blending
for each vertex, it overrides viewer depth calculation for Fog, so its
fixed and can be pre-calculated.
it wouldn't change as the viewer moved, only when the fog changed
color.
