Indeed, a few mistakes at around 4:20: 'His books sold well. He was what was called a "bestselling author".'
Wasn't "Dianetics" his first book? And it wasn't until his followers re-purchased and re-shipped thousands of copies of it to book stores that he achieved the "bestselling author" tag.

Shocking, about the French psychiatrist in 1990, assigned to write a report on Scientology, and then he gets his mail stolen, harassing phone calls to himself and colleagues, and a wheel loosened on his car!
Always a pleasure to hear George Fenech, head of MIVILUDES, such a sharp guy.

He was paid quite a lot to write a report about Landmark Education, which they kept secret, but claimed it vindicated them as being a non- cult. Dr. Abgrall said he concluded no such thing. In fact, he didn't conclude anything. ;-)
"It's not true that I said it's not a cult! I neither wrote that it is a cult nor that it's not a cult. I haven't taken a stance. My critique is of techniques that haven't been mastered at all. There is no control of a psychologist. They just put anyone in there, which means that if the guy takes a blow, he leaves alone in a daze, there's no one to take control for him. They don't exchange information, there's no real inspection of the technique. These guys aren't trained, as if tomorrow you set up shop as a psychotherapist. I mean, that's what's shocking."

What always disgusted me about that affair was that OSA France got found guilty, fair and square, of stealing mail and generally harassing Dr Abgrall. The main clam fall guy, Remy Petit, then committed suicide before the appeal and the appeal went nowhere with all the OSA clams going free.

Oops! It apears that my links for Dr. Abrall's books didn't work. Here are the Amazon US pages for the two books translated into English: Otherwise, look up Jean-Marie Abgrall.
